90 Day Fiancé: Shocking Update On Jenny's Visa, Did Sumit Marry Her Yet?
Many TLC viewers would know that the 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 2 Tell-All has been replaced by a new spin-off show, 90 Day Bares All. The new show was released on the streaming platform, discovery +, and it recently featured the most memorable couple, Jenny Slatten and Sumit Singh. The show host, Shaun Robinson, asked them about their marriage plans and visa status.
During 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 2, Sumit finally got divorced from his first wife. He was then looking forward to getting engaged and married to his American girlfriend, Jenny. But his Indian parents have been against his relationship since the beginning of the show. They can't accept Jenny as their daughter-in-law since she is almost 30 years senior to their son. His parents even suggested that they would seek legal help to stop them from getting married. Still, the couple found a way to get married that was simpler and faster - an "Arya Samaj" temple wedding. But, the former TLC star Sumit wanted to take his parents' blessings before taking that route. Ultimately, the parents didn't accept their relationship. In fact, Sumit's mother emotionally blackmailed him by saying she would commit suicide if he married Jenny. Towards the end of the season, Sumit gave Jenny a promise ring, and now the audience wants an update on their relationship.
Shaun asked Jenny about her visa status on the new episode of 90 Day Bares All. She has been living in India with a tourist visa, which was only valid for six months. However, the pandemic proved to be a weird blessing because she has been getting an extension to stay in the country every month. She said, "Every month, a new extension." If her tourist visa expires (which should have expired by now) and the authorities don't allow any more extensions, she would "probably have to leave the country." The host then probed the former reality TV celeb, "One of the ways you could stay in the country is if you and Sumit get married. So why don't we just do that?" Jenny agreed with Shaun but replied that her Indian boyfriend doesn't want to separate from his family. She then looked at Sumit, who appeared least bothered to respond. Shaun then talked to Sumit's parents about "their feelings as of today." Oh boy! Their feelings haven't changed even a bit.
They are still adamantly opposed to their son getting married to an old lady. Sumit's father said, "Jenny is a very good lady." But, she will turn "75" in "next 10-11 years," and Sumit will have to take care of her. So, who will then take care of their son at that time? Well, many fans think that Sumit is simply waiting for his partner's visa to expire and have her return to the United States. Other fans just want the 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way alum Jenny to come back home.
