Godzilla vs. Kong Trailer Remade With King of the Monsters Music
The Godzilla vs. Kong trailer has been remade using the music from Godzilla: King of the Monsters' first trailer. Hype has officially soared for this year's MonsterVerse bout. Godzilla vs. Kong's trailer finally debuted yesterday, teasing some of the biggest action of 2021.
As expected, the trailer for Kong's clash with Godzilla has generated plenty of discussion. The trailer has been viewed over 16 million times already. The stunning action scenes and visuals are being lauded. The CGI could be the best in the MonsterVerse yet based on what the trailer is presenting. Meanwhile, the story itself has many fans speculating. Godzilla is being portrayed as an antagonist, seemingly causing deliberate harm. Why this is happening appears to be a major aspect of the plot. The trailer might have confirmed Mechagodzilla as well. The footage certainly did its job in teasing fans with an involved storyline and massive action only the MonsterVerse can deliver. Now, the footage can be enjoyed in a different way.
Godzilla vs. Kong's trailer has been recreated (via AON EDIT) in the style of Godzilla: King of the Monsters. Some of the footage has been rearranged, but the biggest addition is the "Clair de Lune" theme used in the first trailer for the 2019 blockbuster. Check out the Godzilla vs. Kong trailer's recreation below.
The video does an admirable job of replicating the overall majestic feel of Godzilla: King of the Monsters' original trailer. While the trailer music in Godzilla vs. Kong works perfectly in generating excitement, the awe-inspiring "Clair de Lune" gives the footage an extra emotional layer. One will probably have goosebumps when Godzilla rises out of the ocean as the music picks up steam, and when it syncs to the action. The recreation builds excitement for the showdown all over again.
Original or recreation, the trailer for Godzilla vs. Kong will continue to excite fans. It will be interesting to see if there's a second full-length trailer before the film's release on March 26. Unlike the first trailer for Godzilla: King of the Monsters, the first trailer for Godzilla vs. Kong revealed quite a bit of footage of the monsters and their clash, arguably enough so. After the relatively low-action first trailer for Godzilla: King of the Monsters, marketing may have overcorrected and shown too much in subsequent trailers, something that hopefully won't be repeated for Godzilla vs. Kong. There is still so much unknown about the movie, from Godzilla's motivations, to how exactly Kong got his special battle-axe. A second trailer shouldn't reveal the answers to these mysteries.
