Elon Musk & Kanye West To Take Part In Clubhouse Meeting Together

Elon Musk and Kanye West will be taking part in an internet Clubhouse meeting together and anyone with access to the smartphone app will be able to listen in. Although this is not the first time the Tesla, SpaceX and The Boring Company CEO has used the audio-only service, the two names together in the same Clubhouse room is likely to be a big draw. Well, for those who can access Clubhouse, that is.

Clubhouse is already proving to be a popular new social media and networking option for people of interest as well as those in the tech sector. In fact, Musk recently took part in a Clubhouse event where, in addition to discussing some of the usual Musk-related technology advancements, the meeting included a conversation with Robinhood’s CEO on the recent events surrounding GameStop shares.

With the Robinhood meeting out of the way, it looks like Musk is now making plans for his next high profile audio chat drop-in event. As is so often the case with Musk, the confirmation came through on Twitter, simply stating that Musk had agreed “to do Clubhouse” with Kanye West. Although there’s currently no word on what the two will be discussing, the original Tweet was followed up by another stating, “The most entertaining outcome is the most likely.” At the moment, there are no details on when the Musk/West Clubhouse meeting will take place.

Clubhouse launched on iOS in 2020 and has proven to be a popular option. One of its main selling points is that it focuses more on conversation in real time than posting text or images and then waiting for others to respond. With as many as 5,000 people able to join a Clubhouse room and listen to the conversation, there is major potential for Clubhouse to become the next big internet-based networking solution. The only problem is, the ability to use the service is extremely limited right now. Firstly, new users need to have been invited by a current user. Secondly, even with an invite those same users need to also own an iOS device, considering the app is still unavailable on Android.

Due to these limitations, and although a meeting between Musk and West is likely to be one many will want to listen to, the number of those who will actually be able to drop in will be significantly less than it could be. Then again, Musk’s last Clubhouse appearance proved popular enough that it was broadcast by a third-party on YouTube. With both Musk and West involved this time around, it would seem almost certain that this Clubhouse internet meetup will get even more attention and the same YouTube treatment.
