GTA Online: Till Death Do Us Part Mode Giving Triple RP & Cash All Week
Love is in the air in Los Santos thanks to a new GTA Online update! The update brings in yet another way to celebrate Valentine's Day with a new mode, rewards, and much more.
GTA Online has been a booming success for nearly a decade, with 2020 being its best year in player counts. The addition of things like the Cayo Perico Heist, which added a new island and expansive heist, helped occupy players who were locked inside during the pandemic. The game's weekly content updates also help, especially when it ties into various holidays like the 4th of July, Halloween, and, of course, Valentine's Day. The game's first-ever Valentine's Day update included a classy, old-school gangster theme to mimic things like Bonnie and Clyde, allowing players to purchase Tommy Guns and a vintage car. 2021's Valentine's Day update takes things a step further.
The new GTA Online update comes following news of the game's unfathomable commercial success. It adds triple GTA$ and RP to the Till Death Do Us Part mode which centers around four "couples" that are basically inseparable. In the mode, if one player in the couple dies, the other one dies as well. It's one life split between two people and health regenerates when close together. Deathmatch mode Shotgun Wedding will also reward triple GTA$ and RP, which is fittingly being held at a chapel in Paleto Bay.
Other luxuries include free champagne all week at the nightclubs, a free t-shirt for doing any heist finale, and a bunch of discounts, and Valentine's Day attire and the Tommy Gun are 30% off. Players can purchase all nightclubs, the Buckingham Luxor and Luxor Deluxe, the Buckingham Swift and Swift Deluxe, the Ocelot Swinger, the Buckingham Valkyrie, and the Albany Roosevelt and Roosevelt Valor for 40% off.
Needless to say, there's no shortage of things to do this Valentine's Day, even if you don't have a Valentine. GTA Online is packed to the brim with content, which continues to make it worth the 140 million copies it has already sold. The game will likely continue to sell plenty of copies later this year as Rockstar is planning on releasing a new version of GTA 5 on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S in the second half of 2021. This will include access to exclusive updates and content, as well as a new standalone version of GTA Online around the same time.
GTA Online is available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
