Vision's Third Death Parallels Quicksilver's In Age Of Ultron
Vision appeared to have been killed a third time in WandaVision episode 6 - or at least came close to it - and the way his body fell down is reminiscent of Quicksilver's death from Avengers: Age of Ultron. Although each episode reveals answers to questions from previous episodes, there's still a lot about Westview that remains a mystery, including who the real villain is and how Wanda is controlling the Hex, if she is at all. Then there's the overall mystery of Evan Peters' Pietro Maximoff.
Peters played Quicksilver in 20th Century Fox's X-Men movies but, for some reason, he has appeared in the MCU's WandaVision, masquerading around as Wanda's dead brother Pietro, who was played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson. The MCU's version of Quicksilver appeared only once in Age of Ultron. He and Wanda are Sokovians who initially fought against the Avengers, but they later turned on Ultron and fought alongside the heroes, with Quicksilver sacrificing his life to save Hawkeye and another Sokovian from an incoming attack.
Quicksilver was shot and killed, and his death was reshown in WandaVision episode 6's opening recap. At first, giving viewers another look at what happened to this universe's real Quicksilver went a long way in reminding people Peters' Quicksilver is different, but there was more to it. When Vision tried to escape the Hex to warn the people on the outside - SWORD - of what was happening inside the barrier, and to save the people of Westview, he began to die. After holding out for as long as he could, Vision appeared to have died a third time and fell down, with his body's position being eerily similar to Quicksilver's death.
Regardless of if the body positioning was done on purpose, there's a thematic connection between the two characters. Both of them are people whom Wanda would consider to be closest to her, and both have contributed to her biggest traumas - Wanda lost her brother in Age of Ultron and then lost Vision, twice, in the following sequel, Avengers: Infinity War. Furthermore, while both characters have returned in some form, they can't escape their deaths; Pietro isn't the Pietro Wanda remembers, and Vision can't live outside of the barrier in his current state.
In a sense, having Vision's body fall down in a similar fashion to Quicksilver's highlights the fact Vision is truly dead, like Quicksilver is. He's back, but he's also not - and his life is dependent on whatever Wanda is doing to the people of Westview. Plus, on a more positive note, Vision's third "death" occurred as he was performing a heroic act; not only does that prove, once again, that he's a hero, but it also connects to Quicksilver dying while performing a heroic act as well - in his case, he saved Hawkeye. For Vision, he was trying to save the people of Westview.
