Yu-Gi-Oh! GX: Jaden's 10 Most-Used Monsters | ScreenRant

The Yu-Gi-Oh! anime series was a huge hit and garnered many fans, and with success comes spin-offs. The first main spin-off series was Yu-Gi-Oh! GX with the plot centering around Jaden Yuki, a fun-loving and talented duelist. His optimism and headstrong qualities are displayed in his duels and through his choice of cards in his deck.

Jaden's deck was mostly filled with weaker monster cards, however, he used those monster cards in order to fusion summon stronger monsters. Jaden Yuki was a lot like Yugi Muto in the way that he was a loyal person and like Yugi Muto, he had a few monster cards that he was faithful to.

10 Elemental HERO Clayman

This card was one of Jaden's many favorites which he used to help win him numerous duels. It had a rather poor 800 ATK but a very good 2000 DEF, it was his go-to monster in the early rounds of a match. Although not an offensive monster, with its high defense it gave Jaden Yuki time in order to come up with the best strategy.

Not only was Elemental HERO Clayman a great way for Jaden to strategize, but it was also the perfect material Jaden needed in order to summon a greater fusion monster.

9 Elemental HERO Sparkman

A balanced monster with 1600 ATK and 1400 DEF, Elemental HERO Sparkman made his debut for Jaden in season 1, episode 20. Fans would see him a lot in Jaden's upcoming duels and although he was not a particularly strong card he was great fusion material.

He was one half of Elemental HERO Shining Flare Wingman, an incredibly powerful card that could help Jaden win any duel. A rather flashy card in terms of design but one that Jaden would continue to use throughout his climb to the top.

8 Elemental HERO Neos

A very dominant monster card, Elemental HERO Neos becomes Jaden's signature card in season 2. This card gives Jaden many options in terms of strategy, it allows him to contact fusion this monster with others known as Neo-Spacian.

Contact fusion was first introduced in Yu-Gi-Oh! GX and allows Jaden to fuse Elemental HERO Neos and a Neo-Spacian monster without using Polymerization or any other fusion spell card. This is a powerful combination and Jaden took full advantage of it and showed why Elemental HERO Neos was a monster card to be feared.

7 Elemental HERO Burstinatrix

A card that may not seem strong on the surface with 1200 ATF and 800 DEF, Elemental HERO Burstinatrix was played by Jaden many times. Like many other of the monsters in Jaden's deck, this monster card is most powerful when combined with another Elemental HERO card.

The way that Jaden has constructed his deck even when this monster card is sent to the graveyard, he still has a way to bring it back and trouble his opponent.

6 Elemental HERO Bubbleman

With only 800 ATK and 1200 DEF, Jadens opponents would scoff at this card but to their own detriment. The effect of this card was that if it's the only card in Jaden's hand, and he controlled no other card, he could special summon this monster and draw two cards from his deck.

There were many times Jaden found himself in quite a bit of trouble before summoning this card and turning the tables on his opponent and eventually winning the duel.

5 Neo-Spacian Aqua Dolphin

A monster that could contact fuse with Elemental HERO Neos to create Elemental HERO Aqua Neos with 2500 ATK and 2000 DEF, which was a powerful ally for Jaden.

Although Neo-Spacian Aqua Dolphin only had 600 ATK and 800 DEF, its special effect and the fact that it could contact fuse was what made it such a strong monster for Jaden. The special effect of this monster would either allow Jaden to destroy a monster from the hand of his foes and inflict 500 damage to his opponent's life points or take 500 damage.

4 Neo-Spacian Grand Mole

Another Neo-Spacian card meaning Jaden could contact fuse to create a stronger card, Neo-Spacian Grand Mole had another trick up its sleeve. This creature allowed Jaden to return both this card and whoever it battled back to their owner's hand. It may have only had 900 ATK and 300 DEF, but its special effect was a real nuisance.

Jaden was able to use it to send back a more powerful monster, which often crippled his opponent while greatly benefitting Jaden.

3 Neo-Spacian Flare Scarab

Neo-Spacian was a fire insect monster with a measly 500 ATK and 500 DEF. While on the surface it seemed like a weak card Jaden knew how to really make it shine.

This scarab had a special effect that allowed it to gain 400 ATK for each spell and trap card the opponent had control of. This meant it could gain a maximum of  2000 ATK, giving it a total of 2500 ATK. A powerful card that helped Jaden during his duels.

2 Elemental HERO Bladedge

First appearing in episode 6, Jaden uses this card to win his duel against Titan. An extremely powerful card with 2600 ATK and 1800 DEF, although that's not its only asset. Elemental HERO Bladedge also has a special effect.

Its effect allows it to attack a monster in defense and still deal life points damage to its owner, granted that Elemental HERO Bladedge has a higher attack than the defense of the monster in question. With such a high ATK there are not many monster cards that could defend this onslaught.

1 Elemental HERO Avian

Elemental HERO Avian was the first monster Jaden summoned on the show and it was the first appearance of many. Fans got to see this card in almost every episode of Yu-Gi-Oh! GX.

It only had 1000 ATK and 1000 DEF but that would never stop Jaden from using it. Like many of his other elemental hero cards, Jaden used Elemental HERO Avian as fusion material to summon Elemental HERO Flame Wingman. A monster that he would go on to win many battles with.
