RuPaul's Drag Race: What Trixie Mattel Has Been Up To Since All Stars 3
The fans fell in love with Trixie Mattel on RuPaul's Drag Race season 7 and All Stars 3, and the queen has become one of the most successful drag performers on the planet since competing on the show. When Trixie first walked into the Drag Race werk room, most fans - and a few queens - didn't know what to make of this larger-than-life character with a dry sense of humor. Over time, however, she worked very hard and managed to win over many fans. Trixie's popularity rose even more when she launched the UNHhhh talk show with co-star Katya.
In 2018, Trixie Mattel came back to compete on RuPaul's Drag Race: All Stars 3 with the likes of Shangela, BeBe Zahara Benet, BenDeLaCreme, and Kennedy Davenport. Trixie got to the Top 4 of the competition and was voted by her co-stars to compete in the final Lip Sync For The Crown against Kennedy. Then, Trixie was ultimately crowned the All Stars 3 winner, which pushed her career even further. With only a few years since winning All Stars, Trixie has already become one of the most popular and accomplished queens in Drag Race history.
Most fans know Trixie Mattel's long-running UNHhhh talk show with Katya, but the queen has accomplished a lot more over the years. First and foremost, Trixie has put out three albums so far: 2017's Two Birds, 2018's One Stone, and 2020's Barbara. She has also released a best-selling book called Trixie and Katya's Guide to Modern Womanhood. The queen also hit the road with four solo nationwide tours: Ages 3 and Up, Now with Moving Parts Tour, Skinny Legend Tour, and Grown Up Tour. Last but certainly not least, one of Trixie's biggest accomplishments in recent years was launching her very own makeup company, Trixie Cosmetics, which is a huge hit.
As a multimedia queen, Trixie Mattel has also accumulated a massive following on social media over time. Trixie is currently the second most-followed RuPaul's Drag Race contestant of all time on Instagram with over 2,300,000 followers. She is only behind season 6 winner Bianca Del Rio, who has 2,400,000 followers. On YouTube, Trixie is now close to reaching 1.3 million subscribers. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Trixie also became a co-owner of This Is It!, which happens to be the oldest gay bar in her home state of Wisconsin.
Looking back at everything that Trixie Mattell has accomplished since being on Drag Race, it is very impressive what the queen has been able to do with her career. In the next few years, the fans can expect Trixie to keep conquering the world one new project at a time.
RuPaul's Drag Race season 13 airs Fridays at 8pm EST on VH1.
