Where To Find (& Photograph) Cohoot In Monster Hunter Rise

Monster Hunter Rise has a fairly large group of pets for players to choose from, and the Cohoot is one worthwhile. This cute little owl pet is well worth the time to seek out. Players can even get outfits from taking photos of another wild Cohoot in the area.

While this feature is cute, it isn't going to sell most players on the investment. Instead, this pet is quite useful. Cohoots, like a bird, can fly highest. This creature is also used to herd others.

The first thing players need to do is collect their very own little Cohoot. The player should head out to Kamura Village to collect one for themselves. This one will be gifted to the player from the village elder here. After collecting this little guy, the player will get a quest mission to photograph a wild Cohoot. The quest will grant the player different outfits to place the Cohoot in, so it can be well worth it.

To find an easy to photograph Cohoot, players will need to head to the stairs to Fugen the Elder. Once here, have the player look towards the top of the wall nearby. Perched at the top of the wall should be another little Cohoot. As long as nothing dangerous is nearby, this should be a fairly easy task. As long as the Cohoot is within the frame of the camera, the player should be good to go.

Once this is done, players can have all sorts of fun with their new little dress-able pet. The Cohoot is useful for herding the monsters in the player's party. They are also helpful in pinpointing the exact location of monsters across the player's map. Players can also bring the Cohoot to their arm using the Action Bar to call it over. This will bring it over to perch on the player's wrist. From here players should be able to access the Pet's Menu. This will allow them access to customizing their Cohoot and dressing them in different cute little outfits. This also makes good little selfies with the bird very simple. While it is perched on the player's arm, head into Photo Mode and the Cohoot should receive the camera and be able to take a selfie of the character they are playing from the Cohoot's perspective on their arm.
