There are tons of different characters available in Genshin Impact. This guide will provide the best (& worst) characters in the game for February 2021. Whether the player is a free-to-play gamer or has poured hundreds to thousands of dollars into the game is completely up to them. Although, it is quite apparent that the premium characters are the best ones in the game. If players are lucky enough, they can have an entire party full of 5-star characters will the best gear in the game. It's important to mention that every character has the potential to be something great. Especially for players who are only interested in exploring the world and discovering all of its secrets. Obtaining the best characters will only make it a bit easier to take down the game's bigger challenges. Although, since the game is massively popular, the new character has this "trendy" appeal that makes every player want to have them. Are some of these characters actually viable? Or is it just the glitter and no gold? Here are the best and worst characters available in Genshin Impact.

The rule of thumb is simple for Genshin Impact. If the player hasn't needed to put any money or Primogems towards the character, they are typically on the bottom of the list. Here are some of the best and worst characters in the game. Also, characters like Xiao are still too new to determine how viable they are when compared to the rest of the cast.

  • Diluc (Best): Still one of the best attackers in the game. Excellent for crowd control. If you pulled this character, hold him close.
  • Kaeya (Worst): A character that players can unlock throughout the story. While there is nothing wrong with this character, others just do their job way better.
  • Bennett (Best): Functions as an Attacker, Healer, and Support. This character's burst also remains after being switched out. Solid character all around.
  • Lisa (Worst): Another 4-star character that players can unlock in the story. Its Elemental Skill is decent but still, other characters can fill this role much better.
  • Klee (Best): A powerful attacker and can deal with multiple enemies at once. It's Auto Pyro ability is great for causing elemental reactions.
  • Amber (Worst): The first character the player will unlock outside of the main character. For a Pyro character, this is the bottom of the bottom.

As mentioned, if you want the best characters, you'll have to put cash into the game. It's the main way Genshin Impact makes its money. Players can grind for hours to get enough materials for a single Wish but still pull nothing. It is not a poor man's game.
