Floribama Shore: Jeremiah Winning Over Fans Despite Dividing The House
Jeremiah Buoni may have been on the outs for some time with his Floribama Shore roommates, but he's winning over the hearts of fans. From his colorful outfits and quirky personality, to his willingness to make amends with Gus Smyrnios after last year's heated battle, Jeremiah is quickly becoming a viewer favorite as season four unfolds. Fans are praising Jeremiah's support of his friends when they need it most, his display of self-respect by not desperately chasing Aimee Hall's cousin Ally, and, of course, his iconic fashion moments.
Throughout Jeremiah's time on Floribama Shore, he has had his share of conflicts with the rest of the cast. The biggest blowup came in season three, when Gus decided to fight Nilsa Prowant's date. Instead of standing up for Gus, Jeremiah went to check on the date, which caused a major rift between the long-time best friends. Things got worse off-set when Jeremiah and his brother kicked Gus out of their shared apartment. The cast ultimately sided with Gus and allegedly didn't invite Jeremiah to join them at a B&B they rented for the VMAs. Though tensions were high at the start of season four, the situation between Jeremiah and his castmates seems to be improving.
While the Floribama Shore crew flips between "Team Jeremiah" and "Team Gus," there's a clear winner among fans on Reddit. Many couldn't comprehend why the roommates had issues with Jeremiah over the years. One said, "I've always liked him. I've been rewatching the series and noticed that whenever anybody had a problem with him it was usually because he called them out when they're being rude and/or stupid." Another echoed, "You always need one friend to reel you in from the stupid."
Fans also applauded Jeremiah's fashion confidence, which didn't waver when cousin Ally was turned off by his pineapple/flamingo shirt: "I think the way he knows his outfit is goofy and plays up his terrible dancing is really charming omg." Fans are also in agreement that Jeremiah is easier on the eyes than a certain thong-wearing individual: "I would climb Jeremiah like a TREE! Sooooo much hotter than Gus and always has been!"
It will be interesting to see how the Jeremiah-Gus-Ally triangle plays out. Since his return to the Montana house after running away, Gus has been relatively calm, but anything could set him off again. He's working hard to hook up with Ally and probably won't let anything – or anyone – stand in his way. Hopefully, Jeremiah bows out of the competition gracefully. Yes, he had a meaningful discussion with Ally, but she made it clear she's looking for a "bad boy" like Gus. Jeremiah should wait for a girl to come along who appreciates his deep conversations, hip-thrusting moves, and eccentric style. After all, there are plenty of viewers on Reddit who would happily volunteer.
