It Takes Two: How to Beat Moon Baboon (Boss Fight) | Screen Rant
The challenges that It Takes Two presents to its players can be quite difficult if the players aren't willing to work together. The whole game itself is about teamwork, which makes solving its many puzzles very hard for those who don't have the patience for it. As the game goes on things will only become more challenging, so it's very important that players figure this out early.
This even more true when it comes to facing off against the game's many different bosses, as they will challenge players to work together under very stressful circumstances. Those who hope to survive while facing off against a boss will need to communicate well with their partner. The Moon Baboon boss is a perfect example of this as it may cause players a lot of trouble. This guide shows players how to bring down the Moon Baboon boss.
Phase One: During the first phase of this fight the Moon Baboon will actually begin inside of a flying UFO. He will start firing lasers at one of the players at random, so whoever is being attacked will need to start trying to avoid the attacks. The other player should begin searching around for a button on the floor of the arena, which should be stood on to make a nearby pylon raise out of the ground. Once this happens the player being chased by the laser should guide the laser to this pylon to deal damage to the Baboon.
After dealing damage to the Baboon a series of lasers will start being launched at both players that will need to be dodged. The Baboon will also start tossing grenades around the arena as well. Eventually, the boss will start shooting a laser at a single-player again, which means that the other player will need to find a new pylon. This process will need to be completed a couple of more times to make it to the next phase.
Phase 2: During the second phase the boss will fire rockets at the players instead of lasers. Players will need to avoid the rockets until they eventually land harmlessly on the ground and can be jumped on. They can then ride the rocket directly at Moon Baboon to deal damage to the boss. Repeat this process until the boss loses another third of health.
Phase 3: The final phase of the fight has Cody shrinking down to run around inside of the UFO to try and locate the Eject button. The player will need to avoid electric walls and lasers to reach the big red button, and then ground pound it to launch the Baboon out. All the while though May will need to run around the arena avoiding all of the attacks that Moon Baboon is throwing out at her. Once Cody is successful, May will take control of the ship and Cody will man the turret. All that must happen now is May just needs to maneuver the ship while Cody lines up a perfect laser shot at the Moon Baboon.
It Takes Two can be played on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5, and PC.
